Dr (Mrs) Firoza Chariwala
Mrs Chariwala is the principal dentist at The Smile Clinics. She graduated from Liverpool University in 1999 and opened her first practice in 2005. Within a year "The Smile Clinic™" was both a national & regional award winning practice.

Mrs Chariwala enjoys working as a Dentist and has a particular professional interest in smile make-overs as well as Orthodontics (braces). She is a certified provider of "Inman" Orthodontic Aligners which complements the general orthodontic service she provides.

Ms Maria Liza Alimperti DipDS (Thessaloniki 2003)
I graduated from the Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2003.

After my graduation I sought a position in the UK and I was immediately offered one. Being offered a position in Greece at the same time I postponed the idea of going abroad and decided to stay close to my family.

Finally, almost two years ago I decided to take the big step and come to the UK. I currently work for The Smile Clinic. Although I am a relatively new member of The Smile Clinic family, I must say that I enjoy my everyday work with the team. The staff are very competent and friendly and there is a healthy competition between colleagues to provide the best treatment. In other words, here at the Smile Clinic we are all trying, and doing, our very best every day. Thank you!

 

Regional Manager

Julie Barton
Julie has been with the practices since 2008 and has been a great inspiration to all the team. She is available at each of the practices part-time and is always available over the phone. Julie’s responsibility is to supervise the staff and oversee all aspects of our service to make sure the patient journey is as smooth and as pleasant as can be.

Managing Director

Dr (Mr) Z Chariwala
Mr Chariwala is co-founder of The Smile Clinic and aside from his work as a GP in Manchester, he oversees non-clinical supervision, aiming to maintain a high standard of service. He is keen to promote wellbeing of staff and patients and works with these goals in mind.

Mr Chariwala enjoys motorsports of all kinds and relaxes by playing tennis and studying 12th century Philosophical texts. He has a professional interest in Dementia and in Medical applications of Nanotechnology.

Qualified Dental Nurse/oral hygiene provider

Fazila Ali
Fazila works part-time at both the Bolton and Horwich branches as an Oral Hygiene Facilitator. She provides patients with regular reviews and advice to help improve their general dental knowledge. Fazila also provides fluoride varnish applications to teeth which help strengthen your teeth and reduce the likelihood of decay.


"My professional interests lie in furthering my nursing qualifications. I have a clinical interest in “Dental Impressions” as well as “Radiology”. I am available at the clinics to provide you with oral hygiene advice and any other help you need."

 

Nurses

Eliza Rakowska
Eliza joined The Smile Clinic in February 2010. She is a qualified Dental Nurse who works on a full-time basis in Preston. Currently she is aiming at complementing her skills with an additional qualification in "Oral Health".

Eliza's passion is music which she pursues every weekend when she plays pipe organs. She is also famous for organizing pigeon racing. "I take great pleasure in working with a team full of professionals. Go Team Preston!!"

 

Zenab Patel
I joined the The Smile Clinic as a trainee in 2008 having just completed my studies at High School in Preston. It was my first step, yet my best step, into the real world! Working with a team of helpful and enthusiastic professionals has enabled me to thrive and gain NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing whilst working with The Smile Clinic team!

With the encouragement of my colleagues, I am aiming ever higher and hope to gain further qualifications by pursuing my interest in "Dental Radiology".

I take pride in working for The Smile Clinic and make every effort to provide our patients with a high standard of care.

 

Reception Staff

Naseema Patel
I joined The Smile Clinic as a part-time receptionist in April 2011. My role involves giving a first class level of customer service & aftercare to all our valued patients. Essentially I see myself as an intermediary and thus a key communication link between our highly trained team of dental staff and you, our patients. I enjoy using my “people skills” by engaging in pleasant face-to-face conversation, helpful telephone mannerisms and efficient email and written correspondence.

My hobbies include keeping fit, cooking and a bit of retail "therapy"!

It is a pleasure working at The Smile Clinic simply because I enjoy the friendliness of all the staff and our patients, whose satisfaction makes all our efforts worthwhile!
